Mrs. Rhonda

Assistant Director

Mrs. Rhonda has been with Great Beginnings since 1991. She has been involved in various areas of ministry for Great Beginnings and is currently working as lead teacher in the Pre Kindergarten class. In addition to her experience, Rhonda has taken several college courses in Early Childhood Education, Nutrition, & Fitness. Great Beginnings provides Rhonda with the freedom to teach and speak about the Lord in a safe, fun, and loving environment. Rhonda enjoys walking, hiking, decorating silk arrangements, singing, painting, and drawing.

Mrs. Doris

Mrs. Doris has worked with Great Beginnings since 2005 and has worked with the 1 & 2 year olds. She has been involved with many classroom trainings throughout her experience at Great Beginnings. Doris enjoys working at Great Beginnings because her boss is amazing, and all of the leaders are loving and kind. The teachers respect each other, and she feels at home everyday. Doris loves kids and shares the love of Jesus with them because Jesus first loved her.

“My most rewarding experience is providing day care for the kids. It allows me to demonstrate my love to them just as Jesus loves them. The leadership and work ethics at Great Beginnings Preschool is a practical display of scripture. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” Colossians 3:23

    
  
Ms. Laurie

Miss Laurie has worked for Great Beginnings since 2006.  Laurie works mostly  as an assistant for the two year old class, but can be seen lending her hand in any of the classrooms.  Laurie has been involved in several classroom related trainings throughout her childcare experiences.  Laurie enjoys every aspect of working at Great Beginnings; from the loving staff, Bible teachings, to the children themselves.  Laurie loves reading stories and singing songs with the children.  She enjoys watching tv and movies, reading,  doing crafts, and horseback riding.

Mr. Steve

Mr. Steve worked at our very first Great Beginnings several years ago and has been back with us since March 2011. He loves to work with children of all ages, but his favorite class is the school agers. Currently, Mr. Steve is working on his Master's in Education for School Guidance Counseling. He will have that completed in Spring 2012. He spends his free time playing his guitar, playing basketball and teaching the youth group at his church. Camping is one of his favorite things to do with his wife and two children.

  Ms. Elda

Some of her favorite things to do are singing and playing flute.  She also enjoys learning new languages.  You can see Elda doing a little of just about evrything at our school. 

I enjoy the fellowship and friendship with the staff here at Great Beginnings. Working with children brings me great joy!

Mrs. Stacey

Mrs. Stacey has worked for Great Beginnings since 2007. She works in the two year old classroom. Stacey has a degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood. Stacey enjoys working for Great Beginnings because of their mission. “To Love, Protect, Teach and Serve All Children As We Honor Our Lord's Command To Take The Good News To The Whole World.” She sees this mission being held throughout all the staff in any of the schools. The best part of her day is being able to read the Bible story and singing songs about Jesus along with the children.

“I moved to Arizona 3 years ago, not knowing anybody except for my husband and his family. The staff at Great Beginnings welcomed me with open arms and has made me a part of their family. I couldn’t have asked for any better place, or better friends, than those I have made here at Great Beginnings.”     

Ms. Kim  

Ms. Kim Ms. Kim has worked for Great Beginings since January 2007. She loves to teach children and see the joy that comes from them discovering new things. In August 2011, Ms. Kim is going to start college to learn about graphic design. Two of the many things she enjoys doing in her free time is photograhy and puzzles.

 

Mrs. Elvie

Mrs. Elvie and her husband have one child.  She greatly enjoys being with children and teaching them.  Since 1995, she has had the opportunity to teach at various childcare centers.  Great Beginnings has been a blessing in her life, because for the first time in her career, she is able to teach the children about God's love and pray with the other teachers.   In her free time, Miss Elvie enjoys listening to music and singing with her family. Hired February 2011.
