Choosing a preschool is a big decision, and it is not just about academics or convenience. You are trusting people with your child’s earliest years, when confidence, routines, language, and character are shaped every day.

If you are searching for about Great Beginnings Preschool, you are probably asking the most important questions first:
-
Who are you as a school?
-
What do you believe?
-
What is your mission?
-
What kind of environment will my child experience every day?
This page is here to answer those questions clearly.

Great Beginnings Preschool & Childcare is a faith-based preschool community built around a simple, steady purpose:

To Love, Protect, Teach and Serve all children, as we honor our Lord’s command to take the Good News to the whole world.

That mission shapes how we welcome families, how we guide children, and how we partner with parents across every campus.

Our Preschool Mission

Many schools have a mission statement. At Great Beginnings, our mission is the standard we work toward daily in the classroom, in our communication with parents, and in the routines that help children feel secure.

Love
Love looks like children being greeted warmly, guided patiently, and treated with respect. It means we notice the quiet child and the high-energy child. We care about your child’s emotional safety, not just physical supervision.

Protect
Protection means creating an environment where children are watched carefully, routines are consistent, and parents can feel confident at drop-off. It also means setting clear expectations and being intentional about safety, communication, and daily structure.
If safety is a top priority for your family, visit Safety and security.

Teach
Teaching means more than keeping kids busy. It means helping children build early foundations in language, early math, problem-solving, social skills, and independence. It means learning through play, repetition, encouragement, and age-appropriate expectations.

Serve
We serve children by serving families. Parents need clear expectations, predictable routines, and communication they can trust. We aim to support your family with steady processes and a consistent experience.

Great Beginnings History

Every school has a story, and ours begins with a calling to serve children through faith, structure, and care.

Great Beginnings was founded by Robert (Bob) Nedimyer, who served as a youth pastor and later as a police officer. That combination influenced the heart of the school from the beginning. Compassion, protection, and guidance were always meant to go together.

In 1990, Bob opened the first preschool or daycare connected to what would become Great Beginnings. Over time, the school grew, serving more families while staying anchored to the same mission-driven purpose.

In 2011, Bob went to be with the Lord. His legacy continues through the values he built into the foundation of Great Beginnings, and through the continued leadership and oversight of his family and team.

If you are comparing schools and trying to understand what makes Great Beginnings different, our history matters because it explains our priorities. We are not focused on being trendy. We are focused on being consistent, trustworthy, and mission-minded.

What Makes Great Beginnings Different

Many preschools offer similar promises. The difference is in what children experience every day, and how families feel when they walk through the doors.

Faith-based early learning with a steady, caring culture

Faith is not a decorative label at Great Beginnings. It is part of how we approach kindness, patience, character growth, and the way we treat children and families.

You can learn more about our faith foundation on Our Christian faith and values.

A consistent approach across campuses

We have three campuses, and while every building and classroom has its own personality, families should experience the same heart and standards across locations: warm welcome, purposeful routines, and a commitment to the mission.

A parent partnership mindset

We respect that parents are the primary influence in a child’s life. Our goal is to support you, communicate clearly, and create an environment where you feel confident and informed.

Structure that helps children thrive

Children do best when they know what to expect. We focus on routines, positive guidance, and age-appropriate expectations that help children build independence and confidence.
